Cap Or Really short hair?

Personally i like the feel of a buzz cut in a race, but do you think it is faster to swim with a cap versus swimming with virtually no hair?

Buzz cut works just as well but I like keeping my hair so I usually wear a cap.

Plus if you wear a cap your hair doesn't get damaged as much through the season. I've seen people get their hair dyed from chlorine. Like from black to light brown. Even as far as blond.

hey. im on a swim team; and some of the guys have short hair; but still wear a cap. i personally think that a cap is faster with or without short hair (:

cap...makes it more streamline....hair is still going to cause an amount of drag...small amount but still some...nothing that is that big of a deal unless youre really competing for a big race....

If you have short hair than wearing a ca won't make that much of a difference physically, meaning that with short hair wearing a cap won't reduce much drag but a cap will do a lot more psychologically than it will physically. A lot of things that people claim help them swim faster only help because they think it will help them swim faster and not because it really reduces that much drag

No matter how short, hair will allways slow you down even by a little milisecond, and in swimming, miliseconds are sometimes very important.

I say cap allways.
