What should I do with my flat thick hair?

I'm tired of my hair. It's split in the center, dark brown (I will not dye it), I think about 4-5 inches past my shoulders, no bangs and boring! Another thing is I have a high forehead. I want my hair to look really nice, something fun but can look serious. I don't want to cut my hair short but I'll be ok with an inch or 2 off. So I'd like some suggestions on how I should cur my hair. Oh also I have squarish round face. Another thing is I don't want my hair to be really thin.

Okay...maybe get layers...that might thin out your hair...but since you don't want it thin...maybe get side swept bangs. don't part your hair...and take good care of it with a leave in conditioner. and if you want your hair curly....just get a curling iron...one of the big ones will look good....and use a heat protectant with a shine serum. and just curl your hair. or if not...when your hair is wet...braid it. and then go to bed. and when you wake up...take out the braid and fix it up a little bit. when you braid it..make sure it's not messy...and use hairspray...because if you make it messy and loose...when you wake up...it's gonna be al frizzy and hardly even a braid. so yeah...make sure its nice and tight and looking good. if you naturally have curly hair...braiding it is still good to tame the curls...i have biracial curls....so they are very hard. and when i braid them they look nice in the morning. so yeah.

oh i love experimenting with my hair!!! don't be afraid to cut, it will grow out. my sister also has like squarish face so I'd suggest you should get bangs on a side. The only annoying thing about bangs is that they need a lot of care but since you have thick hair i think you will be alright. Also you should cut a lot of layers in the front and back, don't worry it will not look thin, it will look very nice and big. also I'm just suggesting if you have brown hair, get few light highlights, just a few. This kind of hairstyle looks fun, and also serious.
