How Do I Cut My Hair To Look Like This?

I have this same hair type and it is this same length, but it doesn't look anything like this when I part it to one side. I am convinced that it is because of the way it has been cut. What way should I tell my barber to cut my hair to achieve this look? Where should it be long, where short and anything else i should know? Thanks.

umm weird... no offense .. but i think is because you may have used another type of hair style and when you try to do it like the way you want it.. it doesnt stays in place because your hair is so used to the way u had it and it may take time to be like that

umm i suggest to try every day putting it like the way you want it and put hair spray or gel so i would stay in place and maybe in days or weeks it would be the way you want it

umm my brother had the same problem but with other hair style and he did wat i told him and it work
