when i was younger my hair was so long and id yell and scream when my mom made me get it trimmed..but i grew out of the "long hair" phase after a while.

And give her a reason to hate you? She is 13 not 3. At this point she should be able to take care of her hair herself. Why would you want to do this to her? To me thats cruel. She is starting to figure out who she is as a person. And at this age looks play a big part in that. I seriously hope you don't do this.

Theres no question here; just don't do it. Your daughters hair is her own decision. That would be horrible. Coming from myself; a 17 year old, I'm still young, and if I woke up in the morning with my hair cut off, I would never forgive my mother. Though it is only hair- if she likes it the way it is, she probably wont take it lightly.
