Help getting hair straight?

My hair's extremely big and poofy, and I got it cut shorter yesterday. I'm worried because the shorter hair is, the bigger it gets after washing it.

I got a pink Chi yesterday. What's the easiest and fastest way to straighten my hair, and is there any way to keep it a little straighter and less poofy while it air-dries?

Thanks a lot! :)

1. it helps if you section your hair before you straigten it

2. to keep it straight use some styling products or a little bit of freeze hold tresemme hairspray to keep it in place

hope this helps xxx

You may want to bush your hair with a flat brush when its wet and then do whatever. If you don't mind blow drying your hair, you can always blow dry with the flat brush (brush in one hand and dryer in the other). It should get your hair down and then straighten with the iron. then blow dry on a cool setting with the brush. that'll give it some volume but not poof. also get a shampoo especially designed to help straighten. I suggest herbal essences ENVY shampoo AND conditioner. it may sound like a lot of steps but its really easy and fast. good luck.

you should put half up and then straighten the botttom prt first after u have finished straightening that you put down the top part and straighten that..after striaghtening ur whole head put sum sunsilk antipoof leave in conditioner or creame in...and that shuld keep ur hair less poofy.

my hair is usually frizzy, and is also short, i blow dry my hair, then use a conair hair straightnener with 25 different heat settings, i usually then use john frieda shine shock perfecting glosser for brunettes, which helps get rid of static and frizz, since humidity will make your hair poofy after you straighten it.

and top it off with a bit of hairspray, how much is up to you. like pantene natural hold hairspray
